Washington, DC – January 20, 2021 – Over the holidays, JMA Solutions’ President and CEO Jan Adams, and daughter, President and CEO of JLAN Solutions, Ronnette Meyers, gave back to their hometown in a tremendous way. This past Thanksgiving, the two teamed up with the Alpha and Omega First Baptist Church to distribute $50 grocery store gift cards to the first 1000 residents to drive past the church. On that day, over a mile of cars were lined up to receive the gift cards. Ms. Adams and Mrs. Meyers were joined by the Mayor of Youngstown and other volunteers to help distribute them.

“Last year was a hard time for many,” said President and CEO Jan Adams. “It truly warmed my heart to see the number of volunteers that came out to support our cause.”

During the giveaway, there were many heartfelt moments, but Mrs. Meyers recalled one moment in particular that she will never forget. “After receiving the gift card, one individual told us that we saved his life,” said President and CEO of JLAN Solutions, Ronnette Meyers. “My heart was so full after hearing those words. I am inspired to keep giving and to encourage others to do the same.”

After the two returned back to Washington, DC, they were in store for an unexpected surprise. As part of their Hometown Hero campaign, local Youngstown Station, WYTV 33 presented Ms. Adams and Mrs. Meyers with the Hometown Hero Award.  “Receiving WYTV 33’s Hometown Hero Award is an honor,” said President and CEO Jan Adams. “Giving back is in our DNA. We are more than grateful to be able to help others, especially during this time.”
