President and CEO
Jan Adams held the rank of Chief Master Sergeant before retiring from the United States Air Force, after 24 years of outstanding service. She founded JMA Solutions in 2005 and has grown the company through hiring outstanding staff who assist the Federal Aviation Administration and other clients in the areas of program and project management, air traffic management, engineering services, cybersecurity, and more. She currently has 170 full-time employees and over 40 percent of her management team are prior military.
Ms. Adams is very active in the community. She serves as a board member for NFL Buffalo Bills Corner Back, Josh Norman’s Starz24 charity organization, the Mamie Mallory Education and Scholarship Foundation, the African American Civil War Memorial Foundation, and is an Honorary Board Member of the Thelma D. Jones Breast Cancer Fund. She is a member of the Air Traffic Control Association, the DC Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Club of Washington, the Nominating Committee for the Arena Stage Theater’s Board of Directors, and a corporate partner of the D.C. Adopt-a-School program. In February, Ms. Adams was reappointed by the Mayor of D.C. to serve as a trustee on the District of Columbia’s Retirement Board.
Under her leadership, JMA Solutions has won numerous awards that include INC. 5000’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America, the DC Chamber of Commerce’s Community Impact Award, The Washington Post’s Top Workplaces for the D.C. area, and the Disabled American Veterans’ Small Employer of the Year Award.
In addition, JMA has been ranked at #21 for the Largest Women-Owned Business in D.C. and ranked at #18 for the Largest Veteran-Owned Companies in D.C.
Ms. Adams was profiled in O, The Oprah Magazine (2018), Entrepreneur Magazine (2018), Forbes Magazine (2016) and is also an original corporate contributor to the National Museum of African-American History and Culture.
In April 2019, Ms. Adams was inducted into the Washington, DC Hall of Fame for her dedication and outstanding contributions to the D.C. business community. In October 2020, Ms. Adams was announced as an Entrepreneur of the Year Mid-Atlantic Award Winner by Ernst & Young.
Ms. Adams is a graduate of the Community College of the Air Force. She is the mother of two, grandmother of seven and great grandmother of seven.
Iyabo E. Anyanso-Martins, CPA, CGMA, MBA
Chief Financial Officer
Iyabo Anyanso-Martins brings to JMA Solutions more than 20 years of progressive experience in finance and administration, and substantial experience in strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting. As Chief Financial Officer, Iyabo oversees the full accounting life cycle; accounting system implementation, conversion and administration; financial reporting; pricing; treasury and banking relations; as well as tax planning and reporting. She also plays a vital role for human resources and employee benefits administration, compliance, policy formulation, risk mitigation, contract and grant administration. She has broad experience supporting Government clients including the Department of Defense, the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Energy, the Department of Labor, the Food and Drug Adminsitration, the Social Security Adminsitration, and the Federal Aviation Administration.
Prior to joining JMA Solutions, Iyabo served as the Director of Finance and Administration to companies in the biotech, engineering, and commercial software development industries. She holds a Master's in Business Administration (Finance and Computer Information and Systems Technology) from the University of the District of Columbia and is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant, and Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the state of Maryland. Iyabo is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA).
Avis Dillard-Bullock, PMP
Chief Operating Officer
Avis Dillard-Bullock, Chief Operating Officer for JMA Solutions, retired from the United States Air Force (USAF) after 28 years of outstanding service. She has more than 20 years experience in project and program management, leadership and process improvement. She directs JMA Solutions’ Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), State Department, and other contracts, and manages program groups including more than 135 employees and numerous subcontractors.
Previously she held strategic level leadership positions for the United States Air Force as the senior advisor to the Air Force Judge Advocate General, the Air Force Claims Service Center, led a regional office for the USAF Ramstein Air Base, Germany, and served as Operations and Program Manager at USAF Langley.
She hold a MS in Divinity from Howard University, a BS in Business and Management from the University of Maryland University College, a Master Certificate in Applied Project Management from Villanova University and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Arnie Selnick, PMP, CISM
Vice President, Strategy and Business Development
As Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, Arnie Selnick plays a key role in developing and executing the company’s strategic objectives. His duties include developing new services and identifying and developing new markets.
Arnie is a former military officer, having served 20 years in the US Navy and Naval Reserves as a Naval Flight Officer. He has extensive experience in government project management and business development. He was previously JMA’s Director of Engineering Services, where he managed a portfolio of contracts including JMA’s largest, supporting the Decision Support Services (DSS) division of the FAA. Arnie also managed JMA's contracts supporting the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) integration and Safety project and the Future Flight Services program.
Arnie earned a BS in Mathematics from Penn State University, an MS in Engineering Management (focusing on Network Security) from George Washington University, and an MS in Aeronautical Engineering from the Naval Post-Graduate School in Monterey, CA. In addition, he is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
Marcy J. Bettis, PMP
Vice President, Engineering Services
Marcy Bettis brings to JMA Solutions more than 17 years of experience supporting Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) programs. She also has significant experience supporting other Government agencies. As Vice President of Engineering Services, Marcy manages JMA's FAA contracts supporting the 3T Portfolio (Time Based Flow Management (TBFM), Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM), and Traffic Flow Management System (TFMS), and a research and development (R&D) Human Factors program. Additionally, she oversees JMA's contract supporting the NAS Defense Program (NDP), which provides nationwide operational and maintenance support of the Long Range Radars (LRR) and Voice Radio Communication (VRC) systems to the Department of Defense (DOD), U.S. Air Force (USAF) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Before joining JMA Solutions, Marcy provided system engineering site support and deployment to the FAA on three major air traffic control systems; subcontract management for one major air traffic control system, project management support to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the U.S. Census Bureau and the Long Island Power Authority for Lockheed Martin. Additionally, she spent five years with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), where she provided test and integration support to the FAA on three major air traffic control systems.
She holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Aviation, and is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, is certified in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations v3, and is a Certified Manager, certified by the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM).
Vice President, Global Affairs and Aviation Solutions
Anthony Tisdall, Vice President of Global Affairs and Aviation Solutions for JMA Solutions, has over 35 years of experience in numerous Air Traffic Control and Air Traffic Flow Management positions, previously served as Air Traffic Manager at the FAA’s, Air Traffic Control System Command Center (ATCSCC) in Warrenton, VA.
In his leadership role, he led the Command Center’s National Airspace System’s (NAS) Vision initiative in conjunction with industry. As the Acting Director of System Operations (now known as Director, NAS Operations) Tisdall had line authority over a diverse, highly technical team improving NAS operation efficiency and led communication with the Air Traffic Organization, Department of Transportation, military, and other organizations. Detailed to Civil Air Navigation Service Organization (CANSO), he facilitated and promoted interoperability of air traffic operations. He served as Director of Legislative Affairs of the FAA Managers Association (FAAMA) from 2010 to 2015, then Vice President of FAAMA from 2015 to 2016, and has been a member of Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) since 2009.
Tisdall has been the recipient of the ATCA 2015 Chairman's Citation of Merit Award, Special Service Award, and many other awards and commendations. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA.
Vice President, Information Technology
Abel has more than 18 years of experience in information technology, local and wide area network design, audio and video communication, information assurance and data management, and Government program and project management. He also provides support to the Federal Aviation Administration's Decision Support Services Program Office, and has supported the FAA Aeronautical Information Management Modernization (AIMM) lab.
Abel holds an MS degree in Healthcare Administration and a Master's Certificate in Project Management. He is also certified by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) in Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC).
